Community Cafe

The Church does not exist solely for itself - it is there for the benefit of all. Beckenham Methodist Church runs a local project under the supervision of the TC's Management Committee - TC's at Bromley Road Church. The visitor can enjoy a cup of tea or a snack in good company, and a chance to talk to a sympathetic hearer. TC's also supplies Fairly-Traded goods and Greetings cards.

Monday to Friday 10:30am to 2:30pm

The surplus from these activities is given as donations to aid specific projects locally, nationally and internationally.

Do you knit? (or would you like to learn?)

Knitting is good for people in all sorts of ways. As well as being fun and therapeutic, knitting brings people together and gives a way of helping others in need, providing benefits both to the knitter and the recipient.

Knitting is needed by hospitals, women’s refuges, refugee drop in centres, prisons, community groups, and hospices as well as in developing countries

At TC’s café, Beckenham Methodist Church, Bromley Road… every Wednesday.

Patterns, wool, needles provided …or bring your own.

Donations of wool and needles would be much appreciated.

Knitting needed:

Warm adult clothes, children’s cardigans and jumpers, baby teddies and jackets, bed socks, scarves, adult hats and large sized blankets.
